The EECE Department of Cairo University has co-organized the 2012 29th National Radio Science Conference in collaboration with the National Radio Science Committee of the Egyptian Academy for Scientific Research and Technology. The conference has attracted more than 132 papers of which 82 papers have been accepted for presentation and publication. Researchers from nine countries have contributed to the event, namely: Belgium, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Saudia Arabia, Sudan, UK,  and USA. The papers were blindly reviewed by a Board of Referees consisting of 73 University Professors. The conference was divided into 15 sessions each of which accommodated 4 to 6 papers.

Conference Highlights:

- The Opening Ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education (Dr. Hussein KHALED), Cairo University President (Dr. Hossam KAMEL), Faculty of Engineering Dean (Dr. Wael EL-DEGWY), National Radio Science Committee Chairman (Dr. Said EL-KHAMY),  National Radio Science Committee Secretary (Dr. Elsayed MOSTAFA), and EECE Chairman (Dr. Mahmoud EL-HADIDI).

- Three pioneers have been honored in the Opening Ceremony, namely: Late Dr. Saad EID, Dr. Mohamed ELSAID, and Dr. Magdy FIKRI.
