The IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS) is the flagship conference of the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society in Region 8 of IEEE (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). ICECS 2015 was held in Cairo, Egypt between the 6th and 9th of December 2015. ICECS was organized by Cairo University and sponsored through entities such as the IEEE, the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) society, Science and Technology for Development fund (STDF), National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), Mentor Graphics, Siware, and Synopsis. Papers from all over the world were presented on design methodologies, techniques and experimental results in emerging electronics, circuits and systems. IEEE ICECS 2015 include 6 tutorials, 24 regular lecture sessions, 13 regular poster sessions, and 2 special sessions. The conference had 3 keynote speech by Dr. Walden Rhines (Mentor Graphics, CEO), Dr. Yervant Zorian (Chief Architect, Synopsys), and Dr. Hisham Haddarah (Si-Ware Systems (SWS), President) and a Plenary Talk given by Dr. Joseph Chang. ICECS 2015 held a Masters and Ph.D. Forum with 11 short papers to encourage students to get early feedback on their work. The conference had a special event Inno-vent Egypt that allowed senior year projects from all universities in Egypt to show-case their demos. Inno-vent Egypt had 10 demos. Awards for the best 3 student papers, the best 3 Masters Forum papers, the best Ph.D. forum paper, and the best 3 Inno-vent Egypt demo were presented at the end of the conference. ICECS 2015 held a honoring Ceremony for Dr. Ahmed Soliman of Cairo University for his outstanding contributions for IEEE CAS society. The IEEE Student Chapter of Cairo University was awarded a certicate of appreciation in recognition for their effort during the conference.
