On 13th November 2019, a historic event took place in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering (EECE) when the President of Cairo University appointed Prof. Hanan KAMAL as the Head of the EECE Department. With this decision, Prof. KAMAL becomes the first female to chair the EECE Dept. since its establishment 50 years ago (in 1969). It comes as no surprise in view of the active role female EECE Staff have been playing for a long time as educators and researchers.

All members and affiliates of the EECE Dept. congratulate Prof. Hanan KAMAL on assuming this prestigious position, and wish her great success in fufilling the goals and aspirations of the Department.
