The EECE Department had the pleasure to receive the accreditation team representing the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education (NAQAAE), during the period from 13 to 15 May 2012. This visit is one of the preconditions for accreditation and determines the extent to which the visited institute meets the accreditation requirements. The NAQAAE team was headed by Prof. Hamdy EL-MIKATI (of Mansoura University) and included Prof. Darwish ABDEL-AZIZ (of Arab Academy for Science and Technology) and Prof. Mahmoud GADALLAH (of Modern Academy). The visiting team met with Prof. Wael EL-DEGWY (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Prof. Hanafy EL-ZOHEIRY (Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development), Prof. Sherif MOURAD (Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research), and Prof. Amr ADLY (Vice Dean for Student Affairs). They also met with Prof. Mahmoud EL-HADIDI (EECE Department Chairman), Prof. Heba MOURAD (EECE Program Coordinator), and many of the EECE Staff, Students, Lab Engineers and Technicians, and Administrative Staff. The visit paid attention to EECE facilities - including infrastructure, labs, Internet facilities - and reviewed documentation and other department assets. Special meeting with EECE Alumni, parents of EECE students, and employers of EECE graduates also took place. It is hoped that the visit would bring the EECE Department closer to accrediation, which is a dear objective for which all EECE affiliates have been working hard to achieve for the last three years.
