The re-run for the election of the new EECE Department Head took place on Wednesday - 4th July 2012 - between the two candidates: Prof. Mohamed RIAD and Prof. Mohamed FATHY. The Election Committee has announced Prof. Mohamed RIAD as the new Chairman for the EECE Department.

On this special occasion, all EECE Staff would like extend to Prof. RIAD their warmest congratulations for his election, and wish him continued contribution and success for the welfare of the EECE Department. We would also like to thank Prof. Mohamed FATHY for putting forward an ambitious vision for the advancement of the EECE Department, which should be beneficial for the new EECE Department Chairman. Finally, words of thanks are due to Prof. Mahmoud EL-HADIDI for his devotion and dedication as the EECE Department Chairman for the past three years, and for leading the efforts towards accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education (NAQAAE).
