Dr. Ahmed KORD (EECE2011) has been named among the Forbes 30 under 30 in science, class of 2020, by Forbes Magazine published on 3rd December 2019. The following excerpt is extracted from Dr. KORD'd CV:
My current research interests lie at the intersection of several disciplines, namely, applied and computational electrodynamics, RF/mm-wave integrated circuits, and photonics, with both academic and industrial experiences. I am particularly interested in investigating fundamental concepts in physics with emphasis on practical aspects to develop new technologies for a variety of applications, including wireless communications, quantum computing, and biomedical systems. My main scientific contribution to-date is co-inventing the STM-AM magnetless circulators for full-duplex radios. My doctoral work on this topic has helped establish it as an emerging area and has been gaining significant interest from several companies, funding agencies, and research groups at top-tier universities. I have also been actively engaged in an ongoing entrepreneurial effort to commercialize this technology through the startup company Silicon Audio/RF Circulator LLC in Austin, TX. |
The EECE Dept. of Cairo University is proud to share the information for this unprecedented achievement with its Staff, Students, and Alumni. It is hoped that EECE graduates of Cairo University continue this tradion of contributing new and great scientific achievements, all the time everywhere.
