Members of the EECE Department, including Faculty Staff, Teaching Assistants, and Admin Staff held a farewell party to Professor Mahmoud EL-HADIDI, on the occasion of completing his term as Department Chairman. The event took place during the last EECE Departmental Council Meeting for the Academic Year 2011/2012. It was attended by many former Department Chairmen including: Professor Fouad SOURIAL (1982 - 1984), Professor Abdel-Haleem SHOUSHA (2003 - 2004), Professor Sameh SAID (2004 - 2005), and Professor Yehia BAHNAS (2005 - 2009). Professor Mahmoud EL-HADIDI took office in 1 August 2009 and will complete his term on 31 July 2012. He will be succeeded by Professor Mohamed RIAD, the first elected EECE Department Chairman, as of 1 August 2012.
Activities during the event included: a word of appreciation and a token souvenir in the form of a silver plate engraved with the EECE motto "Together We Can", presented by Prof. BAHNAS on behalf of the EECE Staff, a word of appreciation and another silver souvenir, presented by Eng. Mahmoud ESSAM on behalf of EECE Teaching Assistants, and a Group Photo for the EECE Family in front of the Department entrance.
Words cannot express the depth of emotions and warmth of feelings that every body felt during this memorable event. It is hoped that the EECE Department would keep its strength and maintain its high aspirations for a brighter and greater future.
