Mr. Abd Rashid Munir, President and CEO of IC MICROSYSTEMS (ICmic - URL: http://www.icmic.com/index.html ), a Fabless IC design company specializing in the development of advanced mixed-signal and RF analog IC products in Malaysia, has visited the EECE Department on Sunday October 14, 2012. ICmic is the holder of the Malaysia's top most innovative award from Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation Malaysia (SME) in 2010,

Mr. Abd Rashid Munir held a meeting in the Department Council room which was attended by Dr. Serag El-Din Habib, Dr. Mahmoud El-Hadidi, Dr. Ahmed Shalash, Dr. Mohsen Mahroos, and Dr. Karim Osama. A very informative discussion took place between the participants concerning the prospects of manufacturing silicon chips, and several of the lessons learned were presented.
